Overview
When you sign up for Minibase, an organization is automatically created for you. By default, the organization’s name is set to your own name, but you’ll be able to edit this later. As the person who signed up, you are the admin of the organization.
An organization allows you to add team members (up to 20 by default) so you can collaborate on datasets and models. All members of an organization have shared access to its resources. If your team is larger than 20 people, you can request an increase in your organization’s size by emailing us at [email protected]
How to Use
Access your organization
Navigate to the Organization tab from the main menu.
Here you’ll see a list of all members currently in your organization.
Manage members
As the admin, you can invite new members to your organization.
Members have access to all datasets and models within the organization.
You can revoke access from members at any time directly from the Organization tab.
Understand roles
Admin: The person who first created the organization. At the moment, only one admin is allowed per organization.
Member: Anyone added to the organization. Members have full access to all resources but cannot manage membership or admin rights.
Share datasets
To share a dataset with your organization, navigate to the Datasets tab.
Change the dataset’s access settings to “Team Access.”
Once enabled, everyone in your organization will be able to view and use the dataset.
Tips & Best Practices
Keep your organization up to date: Regularly review the members list to ensure only the right people have access.
Use clear naming conventions: Editing your organization name to something recognizable (like your team or company name) makes it easier to manage.
Plan ahead for larger teams: If you expect to exceed 20 members, email us early at [email protected] so we can adjust your limits.
