When you download a model package for macOS, your computer may block it from running because it hasn’t been verified by Apple. This is normal, and you can manually approve the app to run on your device. Here’s how:

Step 1: Try to Open the App

After downloading your model, double-click the app to open it.
You’ll likely see a popup that says: “Minibase-[model name] was blocked to protect your Mac.”

Click the ? (question mark) in the popup to learn more.
Then click Done to close the window before moving on.

Step 2: Open Privacy & Security Settings

After dismissing the popup, open System Settings on your Mac.
Go to Privacy & Security in the sidebar.

You’ll see a message under Security that your Minibase app was blocked.
Click Open Anyway.

Step 3: Confirm Your Choice

macOS will ask you to confirm once more.
Click Open, then enter your Mac login password if prompted.

The model package is now saved as an exception to your security settings. In the future, you can open it just by double-clicking, like any other app.

Notes

  • Apple shows these warnings for all apps not downloaded from the App Store. This does not mean the Minibase app is unsafe.

  • If you ever run into issues, you can email us at [email protected] for help.
